OF HISTORIC RESOURCES
The Village is currently working on an Intensive Level survey of
Historic Resources through a grant funded by NYS Certified Local
Governments. This work is being done
with Clinton Brown Company Architecture.

PICTURE MAIN STREET
PROJECT
In late 2011 and early 2012, the Village Board of Trustees created
and appointed members to PICTURE MAIN
STREET a new committee that will focus its efforts on making our Main
Street more pedestrian friendly. The
group consists of a steering committee and several workgroups. The committee has completed its work, and
a public hearing was been held on the Picture Main Street Plan in both
January and February, 2013. The Plan is expected to be adopted on May
13, 2013.

STUDY OF WATER CONSOLIDATION WITH ERIE COUNTY
WATER AUTHORITY
The
Village of Williamsville completed a study on merging with the Erie County
Water Authority in 2011. Since that
time, Village officials have been negotiating with the ECWA to make this merger
come to fruition. A final agreement
was reached on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in March 2013. The Village and ECWA are beginning to
hold meetings on the necessary steps to finalize the consolidation.
